Work carried out in high schools in international teams

As every year IES Penyagolosa publishes its magazine, there you can find all the events where the high school participateted during this past year.

In this button you will find the annual magazine in which Erasmus+ mobilities place an important role (p.24 – p.38 ).

On February 17, the book “Sem água, a vida é uma seca!” (“Without Water, life is a drought!”) was presented for the youngest students of Campo Maior.
In order to promote reading habits, writing and arts, this project was developed, which resulted in the publication of this fantastic book. It took a lot of work to get here since the process of writing, illustrating and contextualization workshops, developed during the 1st term of this school year. Students from all the municipalities of the District of Portalegre participated in the organization of the presentation event that took place at the Campo Maior Cultural Center and included a performance show and a projection of the production process. At the end of the session, the book was handed out to the primary students.

The book contains several topics related to water, in this way children will be aware of the importance of the water as an essential good in their respective municipalities. Furthermore, “Sem Água a Vida é uma Seca” expresses transparent and transversal opinions of this small universe, which reflect important and current issues thought within this great world.

On the 17th of February we received our Portuguese Erasmus+ H2O MAP project partners from Agrupamento de Escolas N.º 3 de Elvas for a short meeting.

During this meeting we could program together upcoming common activities and the students of Campo Maior presentated their work regarding both their class project and Erasmus+ work. Our partners were able to know the project “Recantos da minha terra” and the pedestrian routes, called “Rota das Fontes” where some of the hydraulic patrimony of the village is the main theme of the activities developed.

“Rotas das Fontes” is a project that gathers heritage, active life and tourism. Inspired by the types of hardness of the water, three routes were created to show the water sources of Campo Maior. So gradually people can get to know all the existing water sources: from a soft route to a hard route.

The project “Recantos da minha terra” has as its main objective the dissemination of the different traditions, customs and emblematic places of Campo Maior. And once again, we could not fail to pay attention to the numerous hydraulic heritage existing in our land.

Agrupamento de Escolas de Campo Maior (Portugal) had a great idea to help disseminate some innovative projects, being one of them H2OMap. During the month of December (2021) they developed a Christmas Advent Calendar, each day corresponded to a different initiative.

You can check them all out on their website.

Last 18th of November the “Erasmus Day” took place in Agrupamento de Escolas Nº3 de Elvas. During that morning two different sessions were held at Escola D. Sancho II, to disseminate the H2OMap Project to the school community.

In the presentation the coordinator explained the objectives and main outputs of the project. Also, 4 of the students that participated in the first LTTA  talked about their experience and the activities that took place during the mobility in Castellón.

The IS Taramelli Foscolo students explain the history behind the hydraulic heritage of their region and the environment that surrounds it through the words of Homer, Thales, St Francis of Assisi, Leonardo da Vinci.

IES Penyagolosa students make an online presentation about Castellón city

The students of the IES Penyagolosa high school prepared an online presentation about Castellón, the city where they live, and some of its hydraulic heritage elements to the rest of the high schools participating in the project.

Initiative of the Agrupamento de Escolas de Campo Maior

The Agrupamento de Escolas de Campo Maior high school has designed a space in its center with which to involve the students  and give the H2O Map project greater dissemination.

The H2O Map Project has joined eTwinning, a platform that is part of the Erasmus+ program, in which teachers, students, schools, families and local administrations cooperate to carry out educational projects.

The registration of H2O Map on this platform represents a step forward in the development of the project since it will allow the active participation of the different educational agents to carry out activities using ICT.

In addition, the eTwinning platform offers numerous resources for the training of teachers and students, allowing them to interact with the rest of the educational centers belonging to the project.
